If you want to grow, you absolutely need only the best people. And by best people, I am not saying to hire someone with best skills required to perform the job. The person has to be “the best fit” in terms of culture fit, alignment on his and company’s goals, and of course the skills set.
If you are having the best people on board, retain them. Let go those who aren’t a fit and replace them by getting better people on board. Again, better doesn’t mean someone who is with you is not good, but better in terms of the “fit”.
We waste a lot of time working with those who’s aspirations are different from ours and that kind of drag us down. This is equally true for your partners, team, consultants, and even customers.
Check what kind of people are you with in your journey.
