Steve Jobs created a market for digital distribution of music that was non-existent. Robert Iger acquired Pixar and Marvel Cinematic Universe for Disney and created a digital empire that gave Disney much-needed growth.
It wasn’t easy for Steve to deal with various musical companies, nor was it easy for Robert Iger to get the Disney board to approve Pixar and Marvel acquisitions. Both were innovative in their approach and created opportunities that others weren’t able to see.
When you don’t see enough opportunities, create some. People would think you are crazy, but you don’t always have to follow the herd.
